During a career of over 30 years the Bee Gees have sold over 100 million albums worldwide including three straight number 1 US LPs. Initially successful in Australia, they moved to the UK in the 1960s. Three brothers (Barry, Robin and Maurice), they wrote the majority of their hits. They fell out of favour in the early 1970s before their 1975 comeback 'Jive Talkin'', leading in 1977 to their phenomenally successful Saturday Night Fever soundtrack that pushed disco into the mainstream and sold 40 million albums. They had six straight number one singles including huge hits such as "How Deep Is Your Love," "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever." Maurice died in 2003 putting the group into early retirement.
