After he left the Libertines in 2004, Pete Doherty went on to form Babyshambles. Their first full length albums, Down in Albion, was released in the UK in September 2005. Doherty's chaotic lifestyle and run-ins with the law continued forcing gig cancellations. His second album for EMI/Parlphone, Shotter's Nation is more polished but still shows the energy of their earlier performances.
