The Who are an English rock band, formed in 1964. The line-up consisted of guitarist Pete Townshend, vocalist Roger Daltrey, bassist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. They were one of the bands to lead the British invasion of America in the 60s, and are one of the biggest rock bands of all time. The Who were known for their awesome live performances, including smashing their instruments on stage. They have sold over 100 million records, and had 27 top forty hits in The UK and US, and 17 top ten albums. They broke through to the world stage on the back of the classic hits "I Can't Explain", "My Generation", "Happy Jack", and "I Can See For Miles". They were an ambitious band, and released two concept albums that were very well received "Tommy", and "Quadrophenia". Keith Moon died at the age of just 32 in 1978, and John Entwistle died at the age of 57 in 2002, but Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey still play together as The Who, and headline festivals around the world.
