Tupac Shakur, also known by his stage names of 2pac and Makavelli, is one of the top-selling rap artists of all time, having sold over 75 million albums worldwide. He was also an actor and social activist, with many of his tracks highlighting the plight of the American ghetto. He originally rose to prominence as a roadie, backing dancer, and occasional MC for underground hip-hop act Digital Underground, before releasing his first album "2Pacalypse Now" in 1991. Subsequent albums cemented his reputation, and garnered huge sales worldwide, with All Eyez On Me going 9 times platinum in the US. Although Tupac was shot dead in 1996, at the age of 26, his estate have continued to release his tracks, many hundreds of which were found in partially finished states, ever since.
